The Sleep Disorders Patient Advocacy Foundation is a 501c3 charitable organization founded in Hawaii to serve the needs of Sleep Disorders patients everywhere.
Our mission is to help educate patients on their sleep disorders and associated oral airway, neurological, and pulmonary co-morbidities. We assist with applications for patient assistance programs for expensive medications. We help patients obtain CPAP units, supplies and replacement parts. We teach patients how to use their CPAP units, and trouble-shoot improperly functioning units. We organize support groups, educational conferences and seminars where patients can meet medical professionals and other patients. We help patients identify which sleep subspecialists may be most knowledgeable about their specific sleep disorders.
