Having difficulties finding a way to pay for your medications? We help you navigate through the miriad of pharmaceutical company patient assistance websites.
Medications are expensive. Pharmaceutical companies know this and have established ways to help pay for them. Pharmaceutical companies can provide co-pay reductions for commercially insured patients, and free medications to financially challenged patients. Sometimes the biggest challenges are for those patients who have federally funded insurances, such as Medicare, who do not qualify for co-pay reduction programs, and who also do not qualify for the financially-challenged patient assistance programs.
We have experts who can contact the pharmaceutical company, identify the most appropriate program for your specific needs, and help prepare and submit with you the the applicable paperwork.
One of the mainstay medications for narcolepsy is Xywav, produced by Jazz Pharmaceuticals. The cost of Xywav can be over $10,000 per month, however. So Jazz has established the JazzCares program to assist patients in finding the best way to afford Xywav.
Multiple medications are used to help support alertness in patients with excessive daytime sleepiness. Some of these medications are safer than others, especially some of the newer medications. Newer usually also means more expensive. So if your physician has prescribed one of the newer and more expensive medications, we can help you through the process of making it affordable.
Sleep Disorders Medicine is a field composed of practitioners from varied backgrounds whose common goal is to help you sleep better so you can function better when awake. Sleep disorders specialists usually have subspecialty expertise. For example, some sleep disorder specialists are from a pulmonary medicine background, and they may more deeply understand complex sleep-disordered-breathing disorders. Some sleep specialists come from a neurology background, and may more deeply understand neurologically associated sleep disorders. We can help identify the most appropriate sleep medicine specialists in your neighborhood and for your specific type of sleep problem.
Some Dentists are also "oral airway specialists" who can screen you for sleep-associated breathing disorders, including Sleep Apnea. We can help you find an Airway focused dental practice, and help explain the test techniques, such as the High Resolution Pulse Oximeter (HRPO).
Treatments for insomnia do not necessarily mean medicine. Some psychologists are specialized in providing non-medicine interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-Insomnia). We can help you find therapists who specialize in CBT-Insomnia.
